By downloading, installing, or using Olik Split ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Olik Split is a multiplatform application (Android, iOS, Web, Desktop) for tracking and splitting expenses among groups of people, as well as personal expense and income tracking. The App allows users to:
You must create an account to use most features. We support sign-in via email/password (bcrypt-hashed), Google, Apple, or as an anonymous account that can later be linked to a permanent identity. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including any PIN, biometric lock, or recovery code you configure. You agree to provide accurate information and to not create accounts for fraudulent purposes.

Olik Split is a tracking and splitting tool only. It does not process payments, transfer money, or provide financial advice. Payment method details stored in the App (PayPal, Revolut, IBAN, etc.) are provided for informational convenience only — actual payment settlements between users are handled outside the App via the respective payment services. We are not responsible for any disputes regarding actual payments between users, nor for the accuracy of debt calculations used for real financial settlements.
The App allows you to store payment method identifiers to make settling debts easier. Private payment methods are encrypted end-to-end using keys stored in your device's hardware-backed keystore — we cannot access this data. Public payment methods shared with group members are encrypted server-side. You are responsible for the accuracy of the payment details you provide. We are not liable for failed or misdirected payments resulting from incorrect details.
Olik Split may offer optional premium features through in-app subscriptions. Subscription billing is handled entirely by the platform store (Google Play or App Store). Refund requests must be directed to the respective store. We reserve the right to change premium pricing or features at any time; active subscribers will not lose access to features they have already paid for during their current billing period.
AI-generated content and insights are advisory only and do not constitute financial advice. Premium features such as AI Advisor, Subscription Audit suggestions, receipt-scan extractions, and any other algorithmic or AI output are provided for informational purposes only. You remain solely responsible for verifying amounts, categorizations, and any decisions you make based on these outputs. We do not guarantee accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content and are not liable for actions taken in reliance on it.
You retain ownership of any photos, notes, or other content you upload to the App. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit it solely for the purpose of providing the App's functionality (e.g. syncing expense photos across your devices and displaying them to group members). We do not use your content for advertising or any purpose beyond providing the service.
The App, including its design, code, and content, is the property of olikbobik and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that on-device OCR, server-side AI receipt parsing (powered by third-party AI services), bank notification parsing, or debt simplification calculations will be error-free or complete. AI extractions in particular may misread amounts, items, or currencies; you are responsible for verifying scanned receipt data before settling with friends.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, olikbobik shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. This includes, without limitation, financial losses resulting from inaccurate expense data, OCR errors, or reliance on the App's debt calculations for actual monetary settlements.
The App stores data locally on your device for offline access. Data synchronizes with our server when connectivity is available. While we take reasonable measures to ensure sync accuracy, we are not responsible for data discrepancies that may arise from prolonged offline use or sync conflicts.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the service. You may delete your account at any time via the App's settings or by contacting us.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
