1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Olik Split ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Olik Split is a multiplatform application (Android, iOS, Web, Desktop) for tracking and splitting expenses among groups of people, as well as personal expense and income tracking. The App allows users to:

• Create groups, invite members by email, username, QR code, or shareable invite link.
• Add and split expenses, track income, manage recurring transactions, and set category budgets.
• Scan receipts using on-device OCR in multiple languages.
• Calculate and simplify group debts to minimize the number of settlements.
• Store payment method details (PayPal, Revolut, Monobank, IBAN, etc.) to facilitate settlements.
• Export expense and balance data in CSV or PDF format.
• Receive push notifications and payment reminders.
• Attach photos and notes to expenses.
• Parse banking notifications to auto-detect expenses (Android).

3. User Accounts

You must create an account using Google Sign-In or email/password registration to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including any PIN, biometric lock, or recovery code you configure. You agree to provide accurate information and to not create accounts for fraudulent purposes.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's servers or systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure.
• Upload malicious, offensive, or inappropriate content (including expense photos and notes).
• Share group invite links publicly with the intent to spam or abuse the service.
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or abuse the service.

5. Financial Disclaimer

Olik Split is a tracking and splitting tool only. It does not process payments, transfer money, or provide financial advice. Payment method details stored in the App (PayPal, Revolut, IBAN, etc.) are provided for informational convenience only — actual payment settlements between users are handled outside the App via the respective payment services. We are not responsible for any disputes regarding actual payments between users, nor for the accuracy of debt calculations used for real financial settlements.

6. Payment Methods & Encryption

The App allows you to store payment method identifiers to make settling debts easier. Private payment methods are encrypted end-to-end using keys stored in your device's hardware-backed keystore — we cannot access this data. Public payment methods shared with group members are encrypted server-side. You are responsible for the accuracy of the payment details you provide. We are not liable for failed or misdirected payments resulting from incorrect details.

7. Premium Subscription

Olik Split may offer optional premium features through in-app subscriptions. Subscription billing is handled entirely by the platform store (Google Play or App Store). Refund requests must be directed to the respective store. We reserve the right to change premium pricing or features at any time; active subscribers will not lose access to features they have already paid for during their current billing period.

8. User Content

You retain ownership of any photos, notes, or other content you upload to the App. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit it solely for the purpose of providing the App's functionality (e.g. syncing expense photos across your devices and displaying them to group members). We do not use your content for advertising or any purpose beyond providing the service.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and content, is the property of olikbobik and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that OCR receipt scanning, bank notification parsing, or debt simplification calculations will be error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, olikbobik shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. This includes, without limitation, financial losses resulting from inaccurate expense data, OCR errors, or reliance on the App's debt calculations for actual monetary settlements.

12. Data & Offline Mode

The App stores data locally on your device for offline access. Data synchronizes with our server when connectivity is available. While we take reasonable measures to ensure sync accuracy, we are not responsible for data discrepancies that may arise from prolonged offline use or sync conflicts.

13. Age Restriction

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the service. You may delete your account at any time via the App's settings or by contacting us.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
